La Sultana Marrakech restored to its former splendor

After two years, and having used up five tons of rare marble, the house has been restored to its former splendor. With its 280 works of art, an abundance of ornate fixture and fittings, and countless scatterings of rose petals (even in the loos!) you can’t fail to be overwhelmed by the sense of opulence and the almost fairytale atmosphere that pervades La Sultana.

Relax by the pool Gallery
Behind the huge but uncharacteristically unassuming main door lies an open courtyard with a decorative fountain as its centerpiece, one of a complex of four riads off which there are a total of 18 rooms and suites.

Suites are animal themed, like the crocodile room, with its exquisitely carved antique wood panels, or the camel room, home to bronze camel statues, and a camel colour scheme that extends to its ultra-sumptuous bathroom, accessed via huge golden doors bearing camel designs.

La Sultana is the perfect place to relax in style. Sun worshippers can either lay by the swimming pool, surrounded by Moorish arches, or head up to the large roof terrace space, which offers stunning 360 degree views over the city and beyond, to the Atlas mountains. Guests who want to enjoy some pampering can also take advantage of the hammam or the impressive range of beauty treatments on offer.

La Sultana reflects the splendour and elegance of the 1,000 year history of Marrakech. Each of the four individually style Riad’s house 21 luxurious suites and rooms, each suite featuring fireplaces, antique style furnishings and roman style bathrooms. Visit a fresh voyage of discovery at the Zen Experience Spa, breathtaking views over the city from the rooftop terraces and a feast of exotic menus by candle light in one of the three intimate dining rooms.
