Our Newest Section – Urban Picture Gallery

Coming very soon to our urbanroofgardens website will be a section for you all to get involved with.

We live in big cities but its madness! We suffer cramped living conditions, packed commuting, noise, pollution, crime, expensive housing, so claustrophobic, so why do we do it? Of course a roof garden would help but my guess is that it is for those little defining moments of perfection, emotion, vulnerability and drama which are sometimes captured digitally on film to share at a later date with loved ones or friends. A city helps cultivate such events by its very size, pace & excitement.

However, your challenge is now for you to email into us your very best urban pictures from your city any ware in the world – New York, Hong Kong, Sydney, Chicago, Montreal, Kuala Lumpa etc. We will feature your pictures and your captions. We will also run a competition with prizes for the photographs that get the most votes from our urbanroofgardens.com loyal and growing band of urban dwellers!

Below are some shots I took in London with my Cannon D60 digital SLR camera fitted with a 15-30mm wide angled Sigma lens. Also a 100 -300mm telescopic Cannon lens for those prying shots. As you can see each one tells its own bizarre, voyeuristic or rather theatrical story!

OK, so let’s see you do better! Email them to me at;
