Initial consultation
Our first step is entirely free and without obligation. We will visit you in your home and get to know what you want and what opportunities exist for a roof terrace. We'll give you some initial advice and discuss outline design ideas. This initial meeting also helps to see whether we can both work together on your project.

Feasibility and sketch design
We will investigate the practicalities of your proposed terrace - the planning, structural and constructional issues. We'll also prepare some sketch designs. At the conclusion of this stage you will be able to take an informed decision as what to do next.

Architectural design and approvals
Roof terraces are complex structures requiring a range of professional input. Our architects will prepare and submit planning applications to the relevant authorities. We will also work on refining the design, focussing on the spatial aspects, examining the effects of wind, sun, night and day, and how the external space relates to the interior.

Exterior and planting design
We will work together with you to complete the details - the materials, furniture, fittings, planting, lighting, sound, heating, irrigation and other services. You will visit us for this stage, at our design suite. We will also provide indicative costs for your terrace, so that we can get the best result for your particular budget.

Construction and realisation
Our architects and construction technologists will prepare full drawings for building regulation approvals, and will help you choose the right team from our list of carefully selected building contractors. We will ensure that the contractor meets their obligations to quality, timeliness and budget.

Maintenance and after-care
Although all our designs are low maintenance, the structure and the planting of roof terraces need on-going attention. We offer a number of maintenance packages to help secure your investment.
